In rough order of popularity, Icecube can mean:

  1. (shadowtalk, describing a person) A wannabe diamond. Someone who seems excessively cold online for no real reason. A shadownet user who pitches into technical or on-topic discussions, but goes out of their way to reveal nothing which could hint at their identity or opinions.
  1. (shadowtalk, describing a planet or city) A place without easy access to the nets, such as any of the Chrome Worlds. (Etymology: Anyone living here is Frozen out of the network)
  1. (trademark) The Diebold Icecube, a range of refrigerators made by the Diebold Corporation, of the same size/shape as a cubeputer, and able to take power from either a Standard Peripheral Adapter or a normal power outlet. These are the right size to hold 4 cans of a popular caffeinated beverage, and were marketed towards gamers who want chilled refreshments without leaving their computer.
  1. (common usage) A generic name for a number of small refreshment chillers, immitating the original Icecube range. Many of these are cubical, and many are made to the sizes of various home computer units.
  1. (shadowtalk, describing a gadget, utility or some new invention) An invention of no worth. A cosmetic improvement masquerading as innovation. A solution which implies its inventor misunderstood the problem.
  1. (planetologists' slang) A planet whose core is mostly ice or water. Distinct from Iceball.
