A biochemist, who first achieved fame through the diagnosis of the condition which became known as Smith-Wheeler Syndrome. It should be pointed out, however, that Wheeler only developed the chemical test for the presence of the disease, while Kharlos Smith did most of the investigation into the disease itself. Smith was, however, responsible for the creation of Zyphate, a drug which is still considered the only effective treatment.
