Furia

This planet nearly had a civil war over the correct pronunciation of its name, which was a major bone of contention between northern and southern continents (each of which had their own unusually-thick accents). In order to prevent this, priests called in an arbitrator who decreed that the name must be changed. Neither side approved of the other's choices, so an independent corporation (Approved Names Registrar) made the final choice of Furia.

Battalions of the Furian military are now known as The Twelve Furies, in order to remove the other word which was pronounced differently.
