Galactic Ingineers Guild

A firm of engineering consultants, the GIG are responsible for the original design of most Black Girders currently on the market. They have a full-time staff of around 20 at their head office on Callifrey Secondor, as well as nearly a hundred contract or freelance designers who submit their work electronically.

The company only hires designers and academics. Therefore they usually subcontract any actual construction work to a company established on the target planet (or, for more advanced projects, to a well known groups such as the Kajeska-Maelstrom Engineering Company.
