Magellan/Spireholt/Girder Cop Field
A small landing field, built onto the east side of <address>[//]</address>. The area is officially designated an inner-city parkland, though much of it is a private landing field, often used by small craft heading to or from the Downline 17 line station. Over the years, the owners of neighbouring properties have extended the field with their own landing platforms, many of which are leased to local residents by the Girder Cop Allotment Committee.
Historical Significance
On <date>843-Mar-26. 17:94</date>, a terrorist cell launched from Girder Cop, hoping to attack the Leviticus as it approached the planet bearing the Pope, for his first official visit to the planet in 22 years. The official record states that the attackers were captured and their bomb disarmed by security forces, but the visit was still cancelled due to the perceived security risk.
