Nix Syndrome
A shadowtalk construct, often referred to as if it were a real psychiatric disorder. It appears to be common in corporate managers, especially in larger companies. Sufferers will go to great lengths to invent (or have invented for them) new technologies; replicating the work of others if necessary, before they will consider any development useful. In extreme cases, even widely-used technologies will be scorned until someone within the company can replicate the discovery.
Named for the disdain often shown to Nix residents who are unpatriotic enough to use any new technology (or appreciate arts or literature) created off-world.
