Piece walker

A shadowtalk term for a law enforcement professional who patrols some area in search of obvious criminal activity. In general, this implies that the cop isn't doing anything as complex as following suspicious characters, or watching for signs of any particular crime. He is simply providing a police presence, and is unlikely to do anything unless he sees a crime happening right in front of him.

Etymology: From police walker, a formal police rank on Magellan, combined with the term peacemaker. Also, 'piece' (meaning a weapon) carries the implication that the cop's purpose is simply to move a gun around, and it is the piece itself which is responsible for enforcing the law.
