Valhalla

Some spiritualist teachings dating from the Age of Expansion use a board game known as Valhala as a metaphor for life, and to explore the difference between external and internal views of morality. In a number of popular forms, the language used could be read as if Valhala was not a game, but a planet. As the term came into use on Shadownets as a metasyntactic variable representing an arbitrary planet.

The planet Valhalla (spelled differently in order to avoid confusion) was named by a group of shadownet users among its first parliament; the name was believed to have sufficient spiritual connotations to be voted an acceptable title among those who weren't aware of the shadowtalk usage.
