Esdras

The Temple of Esdras is the newest of the 9 temple ships. Its jump engine has a 530 mile radius, and has 5 masses rather than the more usual 3. This means that the engine is more stable, and can make several consecutive jumps with an interval of only seconds.

Esdras's current captain is Archbishop Dylan Wheaton, and its chief engineer is L. Doyle, grandson of the engineer who first created the sequential jump algorithm.
