Kairo

Born: 1337, Magellan (?)

From just the simple fact of his birth, most people would guess that the legendary tattoo hacker known as Kairo would have died long ago. However, this does not currently appear to be the case.

Kairo first started programming decorative tattoos some time around 1329-27, although most of these works are no longer available and so an exact date cannot be established. Although of a high quality (especially high for first releases), they did not show the incredible programming complexity that made Kairo famous. Most reliable experts accept that the signature spread from the city of Little Egypt, Magellan, where Kairo was probably in one of the many vert gangs.

In 1322, the first example of Kairo's true genius hit the public eye. A viral tattoo spread through the Corodyne office building, mimicing the company logo thumbstamp. On one day, infected users found themselves switching lights on or off to display a number of characters from different archaic alphabets on the side of the building. The text was later revealed to be a phonetic spelling of 'Cairo' (one of the city's major residential districts). The ornate roman letter 'K' was from then on a part of Kairo's signature code.

Some have speculated that maybe 'Kairo' has become a title which is passed on in a family, or to a trusted successor. Or even that it is actually the name of a gang.

None of these theories are correct, however. Kairo has simply found a way to become immortal.
