Steffendiè
When the planetFaith was founded, puritanical leaders insisted that all intoxicating substances were banned. A group of rebels sought to get around this by setting up a plant to distil illegal alcohol on an asteroid belt, far enough out that the planetary government couldn't reach them.
The rum produced in this facility, distilled using an unusual (and secret) low-gravity process was sufficiently popular to justify buildinglarger habitation modules and secondary facilities. Then, when Faith suffered economic and political collapse, the Steffend Distillery's management petitioned the Temple Grand Synod for status as a planet. Among other things, they cited the Produce Heterogeneity Code (under which Steffendiè Rum is protected), meaning that they couldn't legally be forced to produce their unique export anywhere else.
Note: Steffendiè is the asteroid belt (officially a planet), while Steffend is the distillery and company that runs it.
