A grouping of 8 worlds which attempt to preserve Neo-Celtic culture, values and language.

Originally settled by a generational starship from Deneb, the Fringe's capital Poltaen is the only planet in the universe to have legalised heresy in the last six thousand years (although the Fringe has now adopted Catholicism as their state religion, like everyone else)
