Tolkor's Drift is an artificial asteroid in the Callifrey system, originally named after a prospector. Its main body is in the shape of the Cross-and-Arc, although its current neighbours mostly believe that this was accidental.

The 'arc' of the settlement is a dome, approximately 600m wide, of stratophage vines growing along a web of ropes and wires. These provide food for the colonists, filter the harsh sunlight to something more bearable, and a convenient landing point for people jumping in from neighbouring rocks. The 'horizontal' bar of the cross is actually a 5-pointed star made up of 5 ground caravans welded together, which constitute most of the normal daytime living space for the station's occupants. The vertical bar is a wrecked ground-train carriage, painted in the livery of the Callifrey Secondor Passenger Transit Service. The back of the carriage, which is accepted as the station's 'down', has been wrecked in a crash, and re-sealed using a large mess of hull repair foam and spray-on voidcoat. The carriage is used as sleeping quarters, as it is usually pointing away from the sun; bunk beds have been set up using the original seat-backs.

The previous occupants of the Drift left the system towards the end of 844, heading for a more comfortable life on Kaizer. They were replaced by Virrid Skyler, Toni Struthers, and Danyelle and Joran Fielding (who arrived in Callifrey on the run at the end of the campaign Who Knows?)
