Jaxi Liqueur

A distinctive (and possibly highly addictive, although the Federal Council on Trade claims no such findings in its official studies) spirit, made from the bitter Jaxi Berries grown on Guldan. Although the berries have now been found on Froski, and exported to farms in the polar regions of a few other worlds, the FCT's Produce Heterogeneity Code bans its distillation if the berries are sourced from any other world. The spirit is distilled and distributed from Guldan to the entire Federation, requiring more regular Temple ship visits and larger line stations, catalysing the infrastructure upgrades necessary for the small planet to be upgraded to class 3.

Jaxi Liqueur is not technically a liqueur, as no sugar is added, but has a relatively low alcohol content and is sweet enough that it is generally felt the name is not misleading. It is violet in colour, and slightly cloudy. Many fans describe the taste as being like highly sweetened lamb, although they find it hard to describe why this is so nice, or so popular.
