A law of the Federation of Known Worlds, designed to encourage more trade between member worlds. It refers to an official database of products, which are considered protected. A protected product is considered to constitute a distinctive part of the cultural heritage of the world on which is was created, and cannot be manufactured anywhere else. For example, Jaxi Liqueur can only be distilled on Guldan, and if sold elsewhere must have a label clearly stating that it is a distinctive product of Guldan.
