Fracking

1. Short for Fractional Extraction, a mining technique originally developed on worlds affected by Pressure Side Volitation. Its use on more geologically-stable worlds has led to an increase in earthquakes, as well as general structural instability.
2. (adv) Shadowtalk term for anything done without thinking through the consequences
3. In common slang (especially on Guldan and Magellan) an interjection expressing disgust. This usage was introduced by a news presenter, Tomodore Markins, in his reports on a hotel collapse following the inappropriate use of Fracking to try to extract selenium ore under Guldan's northern glacier.
