Magellan
Magellan is a highly-populated world, based on 11 individual rocks with an orbital spread of 0.8 to 1.5 AU. In this range are also numerous smaller asteroids which are easily mined for minerals. This could easily become a scattered world if they were inhabited, but this is not currently economically viable.
The total population is approximately 95 billion. Major industries include steel engineering, mining and customer support.
Magellan's most notable feature is its 3 accelerative discontinuitys, which allow non-jump access to Whence, Auric I and Guldan even on the rare occasions where no temple ships are visiting the system. This means that Magellan is more of a transport nexus even than most class 5 planets.
