Oogrenberry

The Oogrenberry is a common fruit from Guldan. It is simpler to that of the Papaya fruit, although it is green in colour and is much sweeter. Vast fields of Oogrenberries have been found on Guldan and is considerably prized as a valuable export to Magellan.

Etymology: A farmer, Jerald Kosmos, spent nearly his whole life trying to grow papaya in the cold climate of Guldan, relying heavily on greenhouses and indoor plantations. He eventually managed to create a variant which he believed would survive; but after 10 years of growth his specimen crop finally produced fruit, and he was surprised to see that the small fruit from this particular variant was an unexpected dull green colour. His apprentice's first comment, "Ooh, green berries!" was caught on film by a news reporter doing a short article on his quest, and the soundbyte circulated widely on the Magellan worldnet before part of an advertising campaign by one delicatessen selling the fruits on the city-planet.
